I was wanting to get things up and do not yet have a dedicated Linux box
but hope to have by the the end of the year (too many things happening in
my life right now to build the box) and I was thinking I could build a
version in a fairly short time.

Right now I am reloading Cygwin and will take another shot at things this
time using the CVS versions instead of the zip files.
