In a message dated 02-17-14, Ed Vance said to Holger Granholm: GM Ed, EV>I didn't check my spelling with that WordWeb program as I should EV>had. But I was close wasn't I? .... .. As odd as it seems I have never used a spell checker and I wish that the editors (journalists) at one of the local papers would use their brains a bit more instead of blindly trusting that the spelling is correct. There are many words that differ by just one letter in the word that have a different meaning but are accepted by the spell checker because they are correctly spelled but gramatically faulty in the context.
