I don't rembember when thwey changed to the local volunteer examiners
but YES back in those days oen did have to go to an FCC Office and take
the test under theri Supervision.

I have that old ROUNDTUIT, Sevreral years ago I bought the Extra Licence
Package from Gordon West in person at a ARRL convention here in San
Diego.
Never even got around to opening it and now the New Question pool has
taken effect!!
