I wonder if there's any way to put in a -> CH> high-capacity meter/regulator in a residential application? ->Even a BIG compressor would be 'small'. There's not enough cu ft available ->run mobile engines, so they compress the NG to LNG (Liquified Natural Gas). ->IIRC that takes about 4,500 PSI, and needs discharge cooling around -170 ->degrees to start the condensation to a liquid. 4,500 psi? -170 degrees? Sounds like my ex-wife on a bad day. But, that's a significant problem to overcome. I can see why the few vehicles powered by LNG are all commercial or public. In Providence, only the gas company and some public transportation buses run on that. ->The process is very similar to LOX, Liquid Hydrogen, and Liquid Nitrogen. Yep. Rocket science, apparently. ->Easy to understand why LPG has such a lead... And will for quite a while. Fuel cells are making some big strides. Maybe in ten years.. -c- --- ViaMAIL!/WC v1.60d* Origin: Chowdanet (401-331-0615) telnet://chowdanet.com (1:323/120) SEEN-BY: 10/22 345 106/1 2 3 1234 2000 123/140 500 789 128/187 130/803 135/59 SEEN-BY: 135/907 143/2 167/133 226/600 229/1000 2000 3000 261/38 267/200 SEEN-BY: 280/5003 323/120 333/0 342/3 379/1 1200 397/1 633/267 270 774/605 SEEN-BY: 2404/201 2624/306 3613/360 1275 3618/555 3800/1 3830/9 5020/54 @PATH: 323/120 123/500 106/1 379/1 |
