 Hi John,
***** John Ranger said to John Aceto *****
 JR> No...I Need 5.1+
JR> Cant be anything else But.. (anyone???)
Short of Corel John, I honestly think you're SOL.
JA> We had the 5.1+ enhancement at work and all that did for us was
JA> give the ability to read the 6.x and higher version files.
JA> FWIW, I NETMAILed you about this two times previously and never
JA> heard back from you so I dropped my efforts.
JR> Never got those letters which is why I am responding here in the echo
JR> as well. There are other features that 5.1+ does do, like shell out to
JR> dos with a lower amount of memory consumed and it uses far less memory
 JR> to begin with.
I have the 5.1+ disk sitting right here in front of me and I'm
sending you the readme file from that disk via NETMAIL. From what
it says, all I see are conversion files (ex. 5.16.1).
Unless you've actually seen something different, this looks like
your "Search for the Holy Grail".
JR> remember...what I try to do is take old machines given to me and make
JR> the work as well as possible for people with HIV or AIDS.
 JR> I have found that 5.1+ is:
JR> - very speedy from 486's DOWN to 8088's and all machines in between.
JR> - Can FAX from Pokey old machines with a reliable fax modem
 JR> ( I made a funny!)
JR> - Can have psudo Menu's by using the Network feature and allow up to
JR> 5 letters to boot. this means I could add a screen with LARGE
JR> LETTERS for Visually Imparred by/to my own design
 JR> I have to get 5.1+
Ever think about OS/2 for the 386's and up?
JR> no but I do appreciatte your trying to get thru to me till you
 JR> finally did.
JR> the people I dealt with commercially could take a lesson from a
 JR> private individual.
I try. Sometimes I'm successful and sometimes I'm not.
 Take Care,
 John
