There is a DOS of sorts in Vista. At least there still is a command line.

That's because Vista auto-creates the .lnk or .pif, as does previous versions
of Windows. Though I didn't get a bw icon when I tried it. I had to manually
set it.

That's Vista for ya. :( I think they are trying hard to do away with DOS yet
they really can't fully. I prefer to use a custom toolbar on the desktop since
I don't have Office. I use OpenOffice.org instead. Free, and compatible with
MS Office files.
