HolySmoke, for instance, went a good two years (it's hey-day, to me) a 
while back with great and interesting debate between theists and 
atheists. ALL with a "Flame attitude". And it went grandly! ANYTHING 
could be said and people got over it. And TOPICS were followed up on.

Then the right-wingers invaded.

Debate degraded to nothing. Participation faded.

The echoes that spawned the invasion still get major action though.
Why? Because it's a back-slapping club of guys that are more interested 
in teasing Ross than honest debate. (well, there are a couple of you 
that are good)
