Not really. First, the phone problem would have to be definately traced
back to the interface.
Secondly, most Cellphone providers are more than happy to front a new
phone for a customer, warranty or not, if they think it will keep a
customer. #1 industry concern right now is slowing churn, and this is
one of the ways to do it.
Called US Cellular the other day with a phone that had been used to
subdue a prisoner in a local LEO vehicle. Display cracked, phone
a mess, and was told to give them a new phone.
No charge, just keeping the customer happy.
