Al, could you let me know when the hearings regarding the Mondale Act
are supposed to take place?  My husband would like to attend.  How does 
a regular guy get the chance to testify in one of those things?  He
would really like to get our story out-we're still waiting for the lawyers 
and such to get this thing over with-Can't even find the our lawyer most of 
the time-heard that if we try to persue this further, he'll want ANOTHER 
$7000 up front before he agrees to defend Frank (There was nothing in the 
contract we signed when he agreed to take the case).  IF we could find him, 
we'd ask about filing a request for dismissal.  The Private investigator who
put us in touch with him, a supposed good friend of ours-offered to inves-
tigate out of friendship-but he's admitted that he makes his living by 
BSing people, and since we've seen no sign of investigation, we're starting
to think he BSed us.  The lawyer has done little more than put in appear-
ances in court when necessary (and even then he's always late!)-and oh yes,
collect his money-until he came up with a plea bargain that Frank agreed 
at first to accept (against his own better judgement, he says).  When that
happened the lawyer said we didn't have to pay anymore.  Of course, the plea
bargain was supposed to be done before Christmas-but the probation people 
didn't get their act together and it was postponed AGAIN-it's been two months
and no word from ANYONE.  Frank now says he doesn't want the plea bargain, 
doesn't want the state looking over his shoulder for the five year probation
period, after which the whole thing would be erased from his record.  He
wants to take it to court and try to get the word out about the abuses of 
CPS and the legal system in this county.  He's left messages for the man
that was in charge of the VOCAL chapter in Dallas, but there's been no 
response from that sector either.  Feels sometimes like we're all alone out
here with no support from anyone except family.  
Anyway, if you could let me know about the Mondale Hearings, I would be very
greatful.
