  You mean the supposed called nit picking of liberals who believe 
that sexism, discrimination, results in women's economic representation, 
the so called "59% cliche."  
  When in fact, if -motherhood- was controlled for (said 
another way single women was compared to single men), the 59% 
difference becomes 91% (source Thomas Sowell, "Civil Rights: 
Rhetoric and Reality?").  However, such statistics counter to 
the liberal vision such as Sowell's is usually put in question 
with words like "psuedo scientific", "sexist", "racist" or in the 
case of Thomas Sowell who is black who according to liberals 
"doesn't 'think' black."
