LAWRENCE KEENEY spoke thusly to: ALL
LK>I am going to be in florida for 3 weeks or so this summer and I
LK>heard they have non resident ccw permits.
Not true. No such thing as a non-resident permit, per se. Our law
allows ANYONE who meets the criteria to acquire a CWP regardless of
what state they claim as their primary residence.
LK>Ihave had one in west virginia for 3 years and seldom am I
LK>without my ppk or lw I would commander, depending upon the
LK>weather. like to be able to would carry in florida. Does
LK>anyone know what agency need to contact to accomplish this, and
LK>what the address for that agency is.
Applications can be had from the Department [Secretary] of State,
Tallahassee Florida. (Don't have the rest of the address as I am in
the office, not at home -- but that is sufficient enough to get it
there)
Be advised, that you may lawfully keep a loaded weapon in your
vehicle w/o any need for permission from the state. If you jump
through all the hoops (something I eschew) and purchase one, you still
must carry a second form of ID along with the "license."
