>After four days of pounding my head against the
wall and thinking up various ways of condemning Bill Gates to eternal pain
and suffering, my wife=20 called her brother who is a PC tech support guy
and discovered this was all the result of some oddball registry thing that
I nor anyone else who doesn't have binary code running through their veins
would=20 ever in a gazillion years figure out!

And to think that I thought I had problems being unable to upload files to
the website from a Windows XP computer, a problem I still have not been
able to resolve. On the other hand, I did manage to install a scanner and
a new printer. The scanner worked just fine, but the printer would not
print. The installation manual was not clear on how to install the drivers
(the documents were for Windows 98, not XP), but the problem turned out I
had to tell the computer the printer was connected by USB and not a
parallel cable. After making a slight change, it worked. Actually,
Windows XP has worked quite well for everything I wanted to do with
it--except for the uploading problem.
