You're using a class A addresses (10), but the subnet mask from a class C
address.
The correct class A netmask is 255.0.0.0.
Unless you're subnetting via netmask of course. 255.255.255.0 is an incorrect
netmaks in either case.
To use 255.255.255.0, the first octet of the address must be in the range of
192-223.

Again, the netmask is wrong for the class A address you're using.
