I have never done that.  EVER.  The one time I was presented with a trely
Nasty job, I did it myself.  Crawling through pways being redone at the decks
and when I came out (had to wear a respirator and i mean *had to*) I sat on a
chair and it was like pigpen as the dirt puffed up around me.

I've also dangled upside down off 200 ft yardarms when unhooking fan wires
because my guys were not happy with heights and scared spitless to do it.  I
did both of these as a Senior chief.  It was so hot on that yardarm, we had
to duct tape my glasses to my face as the sweat was pouring off me.  It was
125F on a steel deck.  THat wasnt as nasty as the PRC decking job, but it
sure was not fun either.

I have *never* asked any of my people to do something i wouldnt.
