Howdy Carey!
In a note to Bobby Queen Carey Bloodworth scribbled:
BQ>>In a note to All Ed Koon scribbled:
BQ>>again. This message belongs in the BBS_ADS echo. This area is the area
BQ>>for buying selling and trading used personal items.
CB> Saw your message to him, and thought I'd ask a question that I've
CB> wondered about for a long time...
CB> Then _WHY_ is this echo called _CLASSIFIED_? In a newspaper, the
CB> classifieds are used for a little bit of everything. Ranging from
CB> selling, to quick advertisements, to help wanted's, to personals,
CB> to.... everything.
First I did not start this echo, nor make up the original rules that I
based my current rules on. Its called CLASSIFIEDS because that is what the
person who started this echo wanted to call it!
CB> If you are going to limit the echo to something, then why not call it
CB> "For Sale" or "Sale/Trade" echo or something? If it's not going to be
CB> like the classifieds that everybody is already familiar with, then the
CB> name needs to be changed. If it's just limited to "buying selling and
CB> trading used personal items" then, frankly, there's no reason for this
CB> echo to exist, since that's the very thing the ForSale echo is for.
For-Sale and CLASSIFIEDS both have different rules on what is and is not
accepted. Now that being said next time you have a question on anything
you must submit it to me via NetMail or E-Mail as the rules state. Next
time your off-topic message will be moderated.
