You'd be surprised at how often the subject of shooting comes up
when people talk to me...
BN>If everyone could, conflict'd = 0, I quite agree. But prima facie
BN>everyone doesn't, & thus QED. }:)
BN>I did in fact say that the basics in everyone's Trek must coincide
BN>or else there'd be conflict about it, but that's about all I said.

But *you* don't have to be one of them! A conflict requires two
people.
Proposition A: Some people will be confrontational.
Proposition B: Not everyone will ignore them.
There fore people A and people B will conflict.
So what? That doesn't mean that you have to take part or that
you are obligated to act as a peacemaker in any way. By doing this
you set yourself up as arbiter of "True Trek".
This online world is not real life. You can turn away from
disagreement and conflict here w/o turning your back and being
vulnerable. If some one wants to fight with you, you can ignore them
safely online. Someone can say almost anything *at* you here online,
but it has no more weight than you choose to give it.
If someone is being vile and disagreeable for whatever reason,
then let the moderators handle them. Don't cross the Moderators here.
They're animals. There was a guy through here a couple of years
ago... Well, never mind. But the point
is that the moderators easily handle people who get out of control.
So there is no reason to give morons any more weight than they
deserve here.
