Monsieur John, good morning.

Funny but your reply to me went all the way west to Vancouver before
turning around east to me. But I got it.
And no, my octant has no valuable history and is quite plain. It is +/-
1880 vintage and is in not very nice shape. The limb has been buffed to
the extent that the etching for the degrees/divisions are not legible
anymore on the first half. I used it for fun on the ocean, had my
Heathazenith with me as the main one but the results were comparable.

So, I guess that it is of o interest to you and I am not hurt. I only
thought that it could have been as it is an "octant" and quite rare
bird.

Have a great day.
