| subject: | New cam |
-> It all started a couple weeks ago with a ticking.. -> .. -> Having done some digging, the cam I have is a stock replacement for the -> L-79 350horse 327cid motor. While it may still hit 300 ponies in a 350, th -> power band is now up a couple thousand rpm from where I had it. Once rpms -> build (I'm glad I don't have a stock stall converter any more!) she hauls -> and sounds nice. But I do miss the window rattler... F'ing hindsight. =-) Very cool. I hope that the new cam has the benefits of some computer-aided design. Cams of today are a bunch better than even ten years ago. -> At least emmisions testing is not an issue anymore. (grin) Cementing the hot rod status, eh? -c- --- ViaMAIL!/WC v1.60d* Origin: Chowdanet (401-331-0615) telnet://chowdanet.com (1:323/120) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 323/120 123/500 106/2000 633/267 |
