You could filter the grid to display only the value of the record shown in 
your text box.
What you are doing, though, is in really intended by the grid control.  The 
grid control is a super-browse.  It's purpose is to allow you to see more 
than one record at a time.  Perhaps you might simply lay out the other 
columns of your table under headings to emulate the grid's look.
Then, again, I probably don't have the full concept of what you are 
attempting.  Tell me more, please.
