A quick peek on the internet tells me that Opto-Map is
the name of the machine....and it's used to get a picture of the retina
that is fast and may eliminate the need for dialation drops.

I couldn;t identify the cost of the machine, but one article for docs
basicially said that it was a good investment, since it drove the cost
down from a buck and eye to a penny an eye.

Sounds like a good idea, in so much as the picture can be stored on the
computer for later reference, which is better than the doc making a drawing
and comparing the examination to a previous "note".

I'm getting ready to find a new eye doc, as mine retired, and I'll ask about it.
