For a dot-matrix printer, it is safest to send Carriage return - form feed
i.e. #13 then #12. Without the #13, the print-head may start the next page
from some place in the middle of the top line, instead of from the left
margin which you were probably hoping for.
For laserjet types, be sure that #12 is the ABSOLUTE LAST character you
send, otherwise anything that follows #12 is stuck in the buffer for the
following page.
#13 #12 seems to work well for both types.
