You didn't say that. You said UNICEF would cease to exist without the food and goods provided by the United States. Also, the UN isn't in business. > I consider the UN to be an avowed enemy of our country and our sovereignty. > Since the formation of the United Nations in 1945 - with few exceptions - > the UN has worked against the best interests of the free world in general > and the United States in particular. > It should be done away with. What's funny is that the UN was actually an attempt at democracy on an international scale. It's somewhat flawed, thanks to the meddling of the larger western nations, because the western nations can pretty much veto anything with a single vote. The point of the UN is to make things better for all humanity and all nations, regardless of what nation you're in. Does it work? Sometimes. Does it have problems? Absolutely. Honestly, if the US withdrew from the UN, they'd probably get a lot of shit done that the US simply won't allow them to do. It'd be pretty interesting to see what could happen when the rest of the world unites against the United States. -- Daniel --- SBBSecho 2.12-FreeBSD* Origin: :: The Realm of Dreams :: bbs.mysticone.com (1:112/10) SEEN-BY: 10/1 3 14/300 34/999 90/1 120/228 123/500 134/10 140/1 226/0 249/303 SEEN-BY: 261/20 38 100 1381 1404 1406 1417 1418 266/1413 280/1027 320/119 SEEN-BY: 633/260 267 285 712/848 800/432 801/161 189 2222/700 2320/100 2905/0 @PATH: 112/10 123/500 261/38 633/260 267 |
