Simply say:

The following is a list of _all_ legal switches used in this release of
MsgEd shown in their default conditions.  Being 'default', they need not be
listed in your MSGED.CFG file.  Any switches you desire that are _not_
default _must_ be listed in your .CFG for that function to work.  Case is
immaterial:

switch showseenbys off
switch showorigins on
switch showtearlines on
switch mousesupport off
etc,
etc,

(Saves a lot of unnecessary keystrokes...)
