That it did because the scientific world was caught by surprise.  They didn't
think any icy body could pass that close to the Sun and still come away intact.
 This one did the same, so stay tuned.

One article that appeared all over the Internet yesterday was about a Back Hole
somewhere a billion times the size of our Sun.  I'm waiting on confirmation on
that before I post it here.
