it is possible... everything was compiling properly a while back but then
about a year or so back, everything started falling apart... i know there
is/was a problem in the makefile with getting some stuff compiled before
other stuff needed it... i've tried specifically prebuilding msgapi and max
before running "make build" and still had errors...
