Unfortunately, it is your SSN that is tied to your credit reports.

No he is not and apparently neither are you, I used annualcreditreport.com,
it is tasked by the govt to provide one a free copy of their report from
the 3 agencies.

Of course the site will try to sell you an annual subscription, so you can
check it at will.

What Sauer is so ill informed about is that although he probably has no
FICO score a potential creditor would want to look at, or no substantial
credit history or /any/ at all, his SSN is still fair game for someone whom
is in the country illegally and is working.

Imagine that, Sauer on SSI, could be having income reported to his SSN that
could jeopardize his income source via SSI?

Now in this case, a person hijacking his number might be careful enough to
not use it to apply for any credit, but in this day and age alot more info
is put on a credit report.
