 AS{at}> Hamtest Online is great.  I got my General and Extra using it. I've
 AS{at}> recommended it to several over the last few years.

  As noted, I went from Technician to General in 14 days, and to Amateur
Extra 13 days later. It was the BEST MONEY I ever spent in amateur radio.

  They do have a special deal for General Class licensees, who have
applied for, and have been accredited as Volunteer Examiners. While a 
General Class VE can give and grade the Technician license exam ONLY, one 
has to pass that exam FIRST, before trying the General or Amateur Extra
exams. But, if an accredited General Class VE has served as a VE at no
less than four (4) exam sessions (and it's noted in the VE Session
counts), they can sign up with Ham Test Online to take the Amateur
Extra course FREE OF CHARGE.

  The incentive of that, is that an accredited Amateur Extra Class VE
can give and grade ALL the exams.

  While they didn't have this "discount" when I used HamTestOnline, the
main reason I upgraded was not so much to operate HF...but to help with
license exam sessions. In central Arkansas several years ago, they were
literally "begging and pleading" for VE's to help with test sessions.
And, I was asked by a VE Team Liasion to serve at a recent hamfest test
session.
