From: "Antti Kurenniemi"
Refills, people, refills. I have a friend who owns a small shop that
primarily just refills used printer cartridges (they sell new ones and
other stuff as well but refills is what they make a living of). Cost about
1/5 of a new one, and if done properly they're at least as good and
typically last longer (new ones are barely ever completely filled with
ink).
They're just now starting to refill color laser cartridges (the color
"powder" is much finer grain than just black, so it needs a
cleaner room + some finer tools), and while I'm currently paying something
like 150 eur / just one color (Epson), my friend is talking something like
20-30 eur / pop.
