JY> Raw gold would be cheaper!

Don't have any of that to trade for it either. =-)

JY> It works for Corvettes, boats, and dune buggies, why not?

My thoughts as well.

JY> Bingo! TTBOMK there are *no* self-serve propane refill stations in
JY> the US. The government probably feels that the average American is to
JY> dumb to fill a propane tank properly, and they're probably right.
JY> Witness the "20% valve" regulation that just came out,
useta be 10% and
JY> the operator had to turn a screw to observe when liquid came out of the
JY> weep-hole. the new valves shut the fill off at 20%.

The government is too busy protecting us from outselves that we;re getting
no where.

JY> 84-90%, according to my Northern Tool catalogue. A 207hp GM LPG
JY> engine puts put 186 hp on natural gas. The spec sheet doesn't say
 JY> which GM engine, though.

Thats not too bad a drop, provided you have enough cubic inches and power
to begin with. Not much of an issue if your building a purpose built engine.

JY> How about producer gas? a wood-powered auto..

I have a producer gas... ;-)

Alex.
