   I posted this suggestion once before.  I haven't crossed this bridge yet,
so haven't actually tried it, but I still think it is a good idea, and plan 
o
use it when my boys ARE old enough.
   Get a comic book - perferably one they haven't read yet!  Put white paper
over the words where the characters are talking.  Then photocopy the pages, 
o
that you end up with a blank comic-book with illustrations.  Let the boys 
write
in the baloons their own version of what they think is happening or being 
aid
in the pictures.  When they are done writing their own comic book, they can
take the paper off the words od the original and see how it compares!
