Actually they often go one better than that and state that colder than
normal is a symptom of global warming.  They usually phrase it as these
regional colder than normal spots are predicted by global warming theory.
Global warning theory seems to be akin to the unified field theory in that
it predicts everything,colder, warmer, wetter, and dryer all at the same
time.
