	Aparently not. thats why I am trying to find an alternative
way to keep linked up. I bookmarked your RC address and will try to
forward packets through him. Not sure how you will get back to me. A
message did get passed along which was the one we are  kinda of
replying to. Not sure if its the forwarded message or the original
email message.

	Just for a quick test how does /sbin/agetty or /sbin/mgetty in
Linux or freeBSD deal with carrier loss? Isn't there a system call
that one could query to check the DCD status info? How about how
Binkleyterm XE determines if the caller is still online or not?
