EV>Tom,
EV>I found a U.S. ARMY book in the Adult side of the Public Library in my
EV>neighborhood called "A MENOMIC DEVICE FOR MEMORIZING THE INTERNATIONAL
EV>MORSE CODE", and it helped me a lot to learn the sounds of the letters.
EV>I was allowed on the Adult Side because that was where the Record
EV>Player with Head Phones connected to it was and I was allowed to listen
EV>to Classical Music over there.
EV>When I saw the Morse Code Book was over in the Adult Section I asked
EV>if I could borrow it and the Librarian let me check it out.
EV>It did help me when my friend would sound off something in morse.
EV>That's what happened to me.
EV>You have talents I don't have and I've appreciated your sharing them
EV>(and things) with me.
EV>After I got my KN4ZIQ Novice ticket, on one Saturday several of us
EV>had Crystals around 3.720 Mc/s and we had a Rag Chew at Five WPM.
EV>The Rule was that no one was to BURN anyone out by sending too fast.
EV>I remember that day very well, as Tony the tiger would say:
EV>It was G-R-E-A-T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
EV>73 dit dit
There several clever ways to develop the "Rythum" of CW.
Unfortunatly ones brain byst be capable. Mine is NOT. A cannot even
carry a tune is a Bucket and back in my early life I was a total failure
at trying to learn how to dance.
I gave up and moved onto other things that I could master.
