If you are running Office 95, there is plenty you can do. You just won't be
able to use Word while its doing foreground printing. It seems to me that
"background printing" in Word is not taking advantage of the multitasking
available. The background printing is an artifact from Windows 3.1. If you
set Word for foreground printing and set the printer to spool but not print
until spooling is complete, it releases Word back to you pretty quickly and
also prints faster than background printing in Word.
