I agree. That's why I don't count on the NRA to do my letter writing
for me. As my stickers say "I'm the NRA, and I vote."

I disagree. So do you in fact. If you hurt an organization enough, the
organization will acknowledge and react to you.
Remember the things you've said about politics and the effect and
effectiveness of third parties on both the democratic and republican
parties?
