This is what Bill was saying to Wr
Hi Bill
WM> QuebecAir flew them in Canada. I remember living in Montreal in
WM> the early seventies, and watching the noisy little suckers. We
WM> always said that they were actually manufactured to produce
WM> noise... the fact that they flew was simply a by-product.
BW> I don't recall ever seeing one. I think most of them were
BW> produced after I stopped hanging around airports watching jets.
BW> Also after most airports closed there observation decks. And
BW> perhaps none were operated in this part of the country.
Just jumping in here. Our Air Force (RAAF) stopped using them around
1989 for a much quieter Falcon 900. They were VERY noisy, unlike
their replacement. With the 900, you can just hear then "whistling"
as they are taxiing (??) around. They are a pleasure to marshal
around.
