PE> Does Windows NT support VCPI? RS> Dunno. BG> As Win NT virtualises the hardware, I doubt it's possible for it BG> to be a VCPI server. Its a lot more complicated than 'virtualises the hardware' And memory management has nothing much to do with 'virtualises the hardware' anyway. BG> Same as OS/2, it's likely a DPMI server only. And this business about DPMI servers is different again. Nothing to do with virtualising hardware at all. OS2 had a problem with that since *IT* wanted to be the server, but when its got an OS running on top of it that ALSO wants to do that, you have a problem. So you have to change Wins DPMI detail. BG> Of course, feel free to dispute this if you wish. |-) Wouldnt dream of it |-) --- PQWK202* Origin: afswlw rjfilepwq (3:711/934.2) SEEN-BY: 690/718 711/809 934 @PATH: 711/934 |
