Tim, I am with you 1000%! I decided (like a fool) to add a new and larger
hard drive to my PC and upgrade Internet Explorer. (I had been using IE 4)
And because of that I have had no ability to access the Web on my PC.
Fortunately my AOL account still functioned and my wife was nice enough to
let me use her laptop from time to time for Web access.

After four days of pounding my head against the wall and thinking up
various ways of condemning Bill Gates to eternal pain and suffering, my
wife called her brother who is a PC tech support guy and discovered this
was all the result of some oddball registry thing that I nor anyone else
who doesn't have binary code running through their veins would ever in a
gazillion years figure out!

We had to blow away all the network and communications stuff, delete
several very important looking parts of the registry and then had AOL's
software reconfigure all that crud. If you're thinking I was just a wee
bit tense during this operation, you bet!

But now, so far... (we're talking Windows here, folks, I don't take nothing
for granted when Gates is involved) things seem to be working and Internet
Explorer 6 is finally accessing web pages.

And now I'm gonna back this sucker up before something else breaks.
