On 05-30-10, EARL CROASMUN said to ED HULETT: ~> EC> has been told (or reminded), and now you have been as well. ~> Acknowledged. I have no problem with people calling me Eddie. I've been ~> called that all my life. The older I get, the less I care what people call ~> me or say about me. EC>The really strange thing about Ceppa's complaint was that he had posted a EC>number of messages in fidonet, including in this echo, USING the name EC>"Danny Ceppa." I was probably the one responsible for Ceppa coming up with that rule. Prior to him banning me outright from here long ago, we were having an *exchange* over some subject or other on which I held a different view than he did. Ceppa couldn't just have a discussion with you. He had to include snide little insults in his comments and opinions. Like Klahn and Wilson, he wasn't satisfied with just making a counter point to your argument. He had to do so in a way that implied that `you' were stupid, or were inferior to him. He just wasn't very good at it. Too heavy-handed. At some point, not being able to think of one of his little insults, he ended his message by addressing me as "Timmie". It was a carry-over from the fiery days of Holysmoke, where I used to be addressed as "widdle Timmie". Well......when I replied to Ceppa I ended the post with "Danny-boy"! I don't have to tell you it was not a day or so that Ceppa had revised the rules to forbid the use of any variation of someone's name! Ceppa could dish it out just fine, but he couldn't take it in return. Where I do not wish him any harm or ill fortune, I also do not miss him. I for one am glad he is no longer here. --- *Durango b301 #PE** Origin: Doc's Place BBS Fido Since 1991 docsplace.tzo.com (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 3/0 633/267 640/954 712/0 313 550 848 @PATH: 123/140 500 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
