Don't count on it. Flah ROM isn't always enough - the datapump could
be the limitation. That's where USR may have an "edge" - they use a
_programmable_ datapump. Some modems with Flash ROM required a
datapump change to move from V.FC to V.34, but not the USRs. That
_could_ happen again with the ITU standard.

You quite simply can't make that determination. The techniques are
considerably different, and it is not possible to predict with any
accuracy what speed may be possible with X2 or K56Flex given only the
speed possible with V.34.
