Not true.  People do and usse a lot of things that aren't good.  They drive
cars that are barely holding themselves together simply because that is all
they havee to work with.

An yes I used to work with DOS but only because it was all that would work
on ye ol' 386 at the time.  It had a C compiler on it so I could test some
things out before moving it to the Sparc, which wasn't running DOS.  :-)  I
learned how to hack because I had no other choice.  Program licences often
cost upwards to $100K a year which was a tad beyond my reach.  When Linux
became readily available I had no problem purging DOS off the machine.
