Microsoft is very good at using benchmarks to point out the shortcoming in
their competitors products. As such their benchmarks are a great way to
locate the bottlenecks in other peoples software although they tell you
little about Microsoft's software.
For example, software RAID0 support on RH, I didn't know it sucked, that
was valuable information I got from this benchmark test. NT's software
RAID0 and RAID1 have always been pretty good, I had previously assumed
Linux would be similar in this regard.
