Dear Dennis,
Thanks for the comeback.
WE have taken these 'deal' trips before. Last summer we
traveled by motorhome [which has advantages] but plan to sell it because
it is about the same cost to travel by van and stay in motels, than to
stay at campgrounds. There are lots of motels around but you have to
hunt and often go way out of the way for a campground. My lord has
lots of medical problems and Amtrak lets him see the countryside with
out responsibilities. He is the one keen on travel. I am a 'stay at
home'.
I suspect that the 'no responsibilities' thing is why your fried
likes Amtrack too.
I can craft while doing other things. I craft in church, while
playing cards, having a conversation or [rarely] watching tv. The only
problem on a trip is that so many of my crafts are not portable. When
we take an extended trip [ 16 wks in Europe or 3 months in the S.
Pacific] the problem becomes taking craft(s) that take a long time
without requiring too much supply load. There is alos the problem of
keeping track of my 'craft bag' [i use old purses]. Once my bag had to
chase me from country [Austraia-New Zealand] across 3000 miles of
water. I also find it wise to chain my scissors to my bag.
Were youthe one that was asking about leather crafters? Who ever it
was, i wrote back but got no reply.
Shalom, ll
