Actually that isn't really the main problem.  From what I have seen thus
far the bigger issue is how it interfaces with whatever terminal the user
is using and I think if the native ncurses, which I think initially was a
BSD thing, that might clear up some major issues as far as Linux is
concerned.  Also the keyboard.  What I've noticed from logging into a
native OS/2 BBS from the Linux console, using the native telnet, was that
this isn't even an issue and everything works great.  So it seems to me
that a big chunk of a native Linux Maximus would be to take care of this
issue before worrying about the rest.  The ability to login locally from a
Linux console and concentrating on that - my guess the libmax needs
heavy-duty tweaking.
