Better understand now. Use the BINDFIX trick to get the accounts and object
id's transferred. This doesn't restore any files.
Then use either the tape or straight copying to get the files back, including
SYS:MAIL.
The problem with straight copying is no rights transfer. You'd have to put
them all back, using a tool like STRUSTEE and RTRUSTEE. STRUSTEE saves the
trusteeships to a file. RTRUSTEE takes the file as input and restores the
trusteeships.
Assuming you use a Netware approved backup program, the tape drive will
restore the trusteeships along with files.
Maybe a good time for new tape drive?
