what is SMTP then? i use it between all my machines. yes, i also have POP3
setup and use it for some machines. both work equally well fir their intended
purposes...

true! in my case, i have a TCP/IP network in my office and a router t the
internet. i have clients that call in or come by to get their email and do
their surfing. i'd like to do more but i'm about to run out of options for what
i can/want to do with this connect. to provide more in my area requires quite a
bit more cash outlay which i cannot fund at this time.
