Actually, I have several Dr. Suess books that I bought before my children
were old enough to appreciate them... so I can read them :) Dr. Suess is one
of my favorite authors. Once you get past the "Hop on Pop" type books, there
are several he wrote with quite mature themes. He was fond of making social
comments with his writing...some may be a good starting point for discussions
on morality, ecology, ect.
