Hi Laura,
Hopefully I can give you information to help.
Getting reciprocity for your EMT license is generally pretty easy in
Missouri, as long as your training meets US DOT standards (which most do).
You will need to write a letter requesting reciprocity based on your AZ
license or National Registry, a copy of your AZ license OR National Registry
(or any training documents that you have obtained), and a statement of any
criminal record.
I don't know if AZ is an AED state or what your training included. Missouri
requires training (either intitial or CE) in AEDs, EOA/PTL and MAST/PCPD.
This may be obtained either in or out of state.
The Bureau will ensure that your license is valid, and then send you a letter
inviting you to take our written test.
Mail your materials (I would highly suggest copies only) to: Bureau of
Emergency Medical Services Missouri Department of Health Post Office Box 570
Jefferson City, MO 65102-0570
If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at (816) 325-6141.
See ya later,
