yeah, i didn't think that frank did that... there are others, though, who
do... some are even "well known"...

no clue... i've never run HPT... i started with IMail way back in the '80s
when it first came out... it is what allowed us to get our FD/RA system
working tossing and scanning fidonet mail when the existing QBBS stuff
never did... it would work tossing and not scanning or, after some
configuration changes, it would scan but not toss... IMail did both
flawlessly... later we moved to FMail for a bit... tried gecho, too...
untimately, though, Fastecho was where it was at... as with FD and RA, i
was asked to join the beta team and i've been using all three since... i
use FMail in some cases where i need something now that works well enough
to get the job done... but for the heavy lifting, i always use FE...

i don't understand "cover all the aspects of FTN"... it is not an
all-in-one package like DB and a few other products, no... i much prefer to
NOT use all-in-one stuff because if there's a problem with one part,
well... kinda like those all-in-one printer/fax/scanner machines... i'd
rather have each separate so that just that one can be replaced or repaired
while the others remain in place and operational ;)
