Dunno, I more or less agree with Paul's basic philosophy re the SOT/EOT
kludge (To Rod: No, I don't wish to enter into a protracted discussion re
this!), and am quite happy to enable this function in my editor.  Indeed,
with 3.05.a, I have to, lest actual message data is lost ("---"
stuff etc.).
